With the heat advisory today I briefly thought about not running. So, I decided to super hydrate and start my run about 30 minutes before sunset. Yep, it was hot and humid. Even my Endomondo app recognized what was going on, look at the hydration recommendation.
My last 3 mile run recommended .24 liters! So I took pretty easy and was ready to walk if I needed to. Luckily, I didn’t need to. All the water I drank, about four 20 oz bottles over about three hours before my run and another 3 bottles during the day really helped. And I brought a bottle with me.
So, what I was afraid might be a lost training day was a win. My training streak is intact.
On a side note, I’ve been thinking a lot about Boston and have decided to try to qualify for 2015. Unless the Hartford Marathon is a complete bust, which I seriously doubt, I’ll be looking for a BQ in the Spring or Fall next year. I really think Hartford will be a good first step to Boston. So I added a Boston Goal to my Blog.
Are there any BQ suggestions out there in the North Easterly region that anyone recommends?
